As a mother and daughter team, Penfolds is more than just a business to us. It’s a partnership between you and us. It’s also the culmination of more than three decades of experience. Both of us, Becky and Helen, have served our time in ‘corporate’ estate agencies.

During this time, with the advent of online portals, we both witnessed a seismic shift in our industry. At the click of a button, prospective homebuyers could browse hundreds of properties at their leisure and receive instant alerts for others matching their criteria. It all sounded simple and convenient. But we soon realised that in our business, online channels could only partially replace the role we play in the story of a home and its owners. Why? Because ultimately, human beings are best equipped to understand the needs of other human beings.

At Penfolds, we combine all the benefits of modern technology with the service values consumers have come to expect from local, independent businesses.

We began our venture with conversations around the kitchen table and took those conversations into our local community. Some relationships began over a garden fence, while we initiated others at business networking events. Our neighbours and peers seemed to enjoy the discussions; because the listings came, and as happy clients recommended our services, our reputation grew around West Sussex and Surrey.

Many years later, we still believe in the power of conversations. They create sparks that fuel wonderfully explosive outcomes. They open us up to new ways of thinking, changing perceptions, and moving the world, or simply moving your world.

The team

Becky Penfold

Becky began her career as a professional photographer. While you won’t find her behind the camera today, her exacting eye for the important detail still allows her to present your home to a prospective buyer in the very best way.
In 2006, Becky joined Burns & Webber, where she developed her genuine passion for helping people and gained a reputation for an honest, no-nonsense approach along the way. She eventually joined Curchods Estate Agents, where she set up and ran the Business Development department.
This proactive role required Becky to lead and implement initiatives that would have a beneficial effect not just for the company; but also for the entire local real estate market. She credits this experience as a factor in her ongoing ability to look at the bigger picture when considering the best outcome for sellers.
Becky’s vast experience has equipped her with the knowledge to market your property successfully, allowing you to take the next steps on your property journey.

Helen Edwardson

Helen began her real estate journey at Hamptons International. She spent almost a decade here, and her career within the company culminated as manager of the prestigious Shad Thames office. After this, Helen was headhunted to set up a brand new office for JLL in the major London regeneration zone of Nine Elms. Here, she developed a firm understanding of the new homes market to accompany her already extensive track record in the second-hand market.
Helen has helped buyers, sellers, and property investors navigate the highs and lows of the property market throughout her career, including through the 2008 economic crisis. Steering sellers on a successful course to their end goal is still something she puts at the heart of every transaction.
